Josh Hovey
Account Executive

As an account executive at The Rossman Group, Josh Hovey is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans; writing and distributing media materials, along with conducting media relations and monitoring news coverage; developing collateral materials and Web sites; facilitating news conferences and other events; and more.

Josh began his career with the “Virg Bernero for Lansing Mayor” campaign where he co-edited the campaign's weekly online newsletter and coordinated the letter-writing campaign to local newspapers. Following the campaign's overwhelming victory, Josh became a mayoral assistant in the Bernero Administration.

As the key assistant to Mayor Bernero, Josh was responsible for responding to constituent communications, drafting press releases and planning mayoral events. He was also charged with developing several new mayoral initiatives. These include Mayor Bernero's environmental policy initiative “Go Green! Go Lansing!” as well as “Linking Lansing & U”, a unique program to attract and retain recent college graduates to live and work in Lansing.

Josh earned his bachelor's degree in sociology with honors from Michigan State University. In 2005 he was named to the Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
